Dr. Vande Walle is a Board Certified and Fellowship trained surgeon. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and received her general surgery training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Vande Walle obtained her Masters of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed a Fellowship in Advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida and has authored articles on general surgery and the treatment of cancer.

Interests
Her interests include robotic and laparoscopic general and GI surgery including surgery for GERD (acid reflux), hiatal hernia, paraesophageal hernia and achalasia, LINX Reflux Management System for GERD, and bariatric surgery, including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and revision surgery. Dr. Jassim was one of the first surgeons in the area to perform the LINX procedure for reflux.
