Thyroidectomy & Parathyroidectomy
Surgical Associates of Neenah works directly with the patient’s endocrinology team during the entire surgical process, from pre-operative to recovery. Our surgeons are experienced and our staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Most importantly, our overall care is unmatched.
Our surgeons perform minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. This means our patients may be discharged earlier than had the patient undergone a more invasive surgery. Patients who undergo minimally invasive procedures can often return to work and resume normal activities more quickly.
Our treatments include:
Thyroidectomy: Thyroid surgery or thyroid removal is often used to treat patients with thyroid cancer, large thyroid nodules and other conditions that include goiter, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Grave’s disease.
Parathyroidectomy: We remove parathyroid adenomas to treat people who suffer from hyperparathyroidism and who usually have a parathyroid gland that has grown abnormally large. If left untreated, this condition can lead to kidney stones, stomach ulcers, decreased bone density, depression and chronic fatigue.
We accept most Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.
